The 54th Annual
La Jolla Christmas Parade & Holiday Festival
“Classic Christmas ”
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! –
The 54th Annual La Jolla Christmas Parade & Holiday Festival begins at 2 pm Sunday December 4th on Girard Avenue and we need your support. The theme for this year’s Parade is ‘Classic Christmas’ and we are honoring June Barrymore Ash as Grand Marshal for her countless contributions to the community. Robert Meanley (Ace Hardware), William White (Ascot Shop), Nancy Warwick (Warwick’s), Dennis Wills (D.G. Wills) and Neil Ash are being honored as Goodwill, Cultural, and Military Marshals. Joining them as Youth Marshals will be students nominated by the public and private La Jolla schools to recognize their service to the community. The Christmas Parade & Holiday Festival event continues at the La Jolla Recreation Center and ends with the lighting of the Christmas Tree, sponsored by the La Jolla Sunrise Rotary Club and GDC Construction.
This event attracts more than 20,000 attendees and participants – most of the parade participants are back every year to continue this Village tradition. It is unique in that it is organized and conducted by community volunteers and is fully funded through community sponsorships and donations. We invite you to become a Sponsor or Donate to this year’s Parade. The form provided with this letter describes Sponsorship Opportunities and Benefits. This information can also be found on our website www.ljparade.com.
Please take this opportunity to review this information and help us to continue this community tradition through your tax-deductible contribution. Checks should be made payable to the newly formed La Jolla Town Council Parade Foundation, a 501(c)(3) corporation and mailed to 7734 Herschel Avenue, Suite F, La Jolla, CA 92037. Thank you for your Support
